Christine Otis is a freelance writer and editor based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  She is a member of Pen and Pencil, facilitator for Play is the Thing writers group and is the Vice-Chair and Treasurer of Philadelphia Dramatists Center. Her journalistic pieces, technical writing, blog and short stories have been published by Hometown Memories, Philadelphia Weekly, Milestones Newspaper, The Evening Bulletin, The Green Couch, Phillyist, The Courier-Post, The Daily Pennsylvanian, The Vanguard, Ageless Design, and other publications.  She has done editing for Philadelphia Gay News, Polyglot Press, Phillips Seafood Restaurant, Dining Out Philadelphia, Bhavani Charitable Trust, Inc., Shane Hayes and academic papers for students.  She has taught literature and mathematics for the Veterans Upward Bound Program, edited grants in the Department of Rheumatology, meeting the criteria for the National Institute of Health and wrote protocols for the Department of Biology at the University of Pennsylvania.  Her broad scope includes topics such as mathematics, science, business, politics, sports, comedies and dramas.  From the published page, to stage to screen to works in progress Christine Otis is a writer whose creative talent has an edgy bite that can be excitingly contagious.
 
She has lived in New York, New Mexico and now resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
